This user guide describes the development and psychometric properties of a chart audit tool that was developed by the NBPRU for the evaluation of nursing practice in relation to the assessment of a patient’s need for vascular access devices, and the selection of appropriate devices as outlined in the RNAO Best Practice Guideline on Assessment and Device Selection for Vascular Access.
